The Fat Week

It’s important to keep yourself removed from negativity, including negative thoughts, when you’re trying to lose weight. The week before last, it was incredibly difficult. Though I can’t put my finger on the cause, I just felt incredibly fat — not to mention the bathroom scale showed an increase of about 3 pounds.

Since it’s a brand new week, I’m hoping to recover and get myself back on track by this Saturday’s weigh in. As for the why, something tells me the amount of exercise I’d been subjecting my body to, with a distinct lack of proper nutrition, had a huge impact on why it was a fat week. I made sure to zero out my points by the end of each day, but the quality of the food simply wasn’t up to par — frankly, I’m almost certain my body jumped back into “she’s starving” survival mode.

Last Tuesday night, I went grocery shopping and stocked up on good, high quality food to snap my body out of it — plus, I decided to take it easy and cutting back significantly on exercise so my body could recover (which is has). All I can say is that it was one of the best decisions I could have made. This week I’m feeling much better and my weight has gone back to normal. I still feel a bit fat, but that’s because of another reason (a female reason *sigh*).
