Exercise Wakes You Up!
Last night, I literally hadn’t slept a single wink. But, earlier in the evening, I made a note that an exercise program that sounded interesting and fun was scheduled for 9 in the morning. With that in mind, I set my alarm clock to wake me up at 8:30am, just in time for the work out to begin.
Unfortunately, as I turned off the alarm before it even went off, I began feeling tired and lethargic. 9am rolled around and I just didn’t feel like moving at all, but I flipped to the channel anyway…I guess…to see what I was missing. But, as soon as I saw them moving and jumping around, something in me wanted to be moving around with them; it just looked like so much fun.
So, I hurried out of bed and pulled on some exercise clothes as fast as possible (it was already 9:15) and jumped into the program a quarter way through. And all things considered, I’m glad I did because it lead to me popping in my Turbo Jam DVD and doing the 20 minute work out (I’ve been in sore need of some cardio) and when that finished, I even stayed a little longer to work out with Gilad. In total, I ended up exercising for about 2 hours this morning — all fun.
Of course, by the time I finally finished, I was wiped out. I had about enough energy to eat some breakfast, shower, and climb back into bed. But, I sure did sleep very well for a few hours. (Didn’t want to sleep all day because I wouldn’t be able to sleep tonight.)
Tomorrow, I’m hoping that I can keep up the momentum.
