Eating Habits

My sleeping schedule has been skewed lately. I blame it on needing to see Inuyasha and Adult Swim for only having it on at 1:30am or 5:00am, two highly inconvenient times for me. As a result, I’ve only been listening to the Weight Loss (subliminal) CD after the show’s done around 2:30am and I always seem to fall asleep with it.

That said, I have been actively listening to it for the past few days and while I haven’t lost any weight — in fact, I put on about 10 pounds in water weight due to my Aunt Flow dropping in for a visit — I have felt better. In fact, I’ve felt a bit more confident about my body.

So confident, I left the house in a tank top and didn’t think twice about it. Generally, I avoid wearing tank tops because I don’t particularly care for the stretch marks on my arm. Plus, since I gained all this weight, I don’t like the flabby look of the arms right now.

That aside, my eating habits have changed slightly. First, I’ve been hungry more often. One would think that’s a bad thing, but it’s not. It balances itself out by my only eating small portions at each sit down. Also, my choices in foods have changed slightly as well.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t deprive myself of anything, but I choose wisely and eat less. For instance, McDonald’s was the only option for lunch and instead of getting the McNugget meal (10 pc.) with french fries and coke, I opted for a salad with Diet Coke. I’ve also been preparing a lot of veggie meals, too. But, it’s not all salads, fruits, and veggies — I had some ice cream and what I would normally eat in one sitting took me three.

My first impressions after a few days using the CDs? It seems to be doing something. Whether or not I’m just more on the ball because I made the conscious decision to actively do something about my weight or whether the CD is implanting some good habits in my mind, I’m not complaining. More to come in the following weeks I’m sure.
